Carnival XL-Class ship design features a new (red-white-navy blue) hull and was created by the NYC-based naval architecture firm "Bluarch Architecture". One of the most talked-about features aboard Mardi Gras is the first roller coaster at sea, dubbed BOLT and part of the ship’s open-air recreation area, called the Ultimate Playground.
